Brammer is committed to helping our people develop the skills and competencies they require to enable them to perform to the highest possible standards in their job role. This commitment is reflected in our training and development initiatives.
Introduction to the Business
All of are people are given a planned induction to our business to ensure that they understand the expectation of the role and the working environment. This programme includes the individual induction plan depending on the role performed, meeting key people, understanding company strategy, processes, products and services and undertaking our distributed learning programmes. After and initial period the induction process does not stop but carries on through informal on the job training/experiences with regular reviews.
Distributed Learning
Across the Group we have invested in the development of a comprehensive suite of online learning programmes known as Distributed Learning. This provides our people with the product knowledge they need to successfully sell our comprehensive range of products, the understanding of how Brammer operates and how our Key Account Teams play a major role in the growth of the business. These programmes can be accessed by all of our people online and provides our people with a flexible approach to developing their skills which they can easily integrate with their normal working routines.
On-going Personal Development
Our Distributed Learning is supported by a wide range of internal training courses covering a wide range of key areas including IT skills, management development and technical knowledge.
Many of our world-class manufacturing partners also provide Brammer with direct access to their own training programmes and facilities, further increasing the scope for our employees to acquire expert product training.
Where it is appropriate to the role employees will also be sponsored to study for formal professional qualifications in areas such as accountancy, purchasing and marketing or gain vocational qualifications accredited to National Standards.
Finally, but just as importantly, on-the-job coaching from experienced managers within the business plays an important part in supporting the formal training programmes. All employees receive annual appraisals as part of a structured review process with their managers, including the identification of personal development needs
All in all this ensures that the training and development of our people is an on-going process that is there to support the development of their full potential throughout their careers with Brammer and ensuring the growth and success of Brammer.
