Brammer plc Health & Safety Policy Statement
It is the policy of Brammer plc that those responsible for the management of the Company’s operations shall take, so far as is reasonably practicable, all measures to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all Company employees, customers, contractors and members of the general public insofar as they may be affected by the Company’s operations, activities and products. The management of health and safety is placed in equal importance to productivity and quality.
The matters to which their duty of care extends include:
- The provision of a safe place of work and maintenance of each place under Brammer’s control to ensure that they are free from risk to health.
- The provision and maintenance of plant and equipment, that are safe and without risk to health.
- The provision and maintenance of a safe working environment for all employees that is without risk to health and adequate with regard to facilities and arrangements for their welfare at work.
- The provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure the health and safety at work of all employees, contractors and visitors on Company premises.
- To ensure that arrangements are made for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances to be carried out safely and without risk to health.
- To regularly review the hazards that the employees and third parties may be affected by and to ensure that adequate controls are in place to control the risk.
- To review all accidents and work-related ill health and to identify actions that can be taken to prevent re-occurrence.
- The annual review of Company Statements of Policy to determine any requirements for alteration or revision.
- The provision of products to our customers that comply with the relevant EU Directives and health and safety legislation.
The Company reminds all employees that in all health and safety matters they legally have individual and personal responsibilities and have a duty of care to take reasonable care and to co-operate with the Company in complying with all statutory regulations, codes of practise and Company rules relating to health, safety and welfare. The Company Health and Safety Policy and procedures also apply when employees are working on customers’ premises.
Any breach of the Company Health and Safety procedures could lead to potential disciplinary action.
